Story
Like many Travis Bean creations of the 1970s, the aptly nick-named “Wedge” was a rare and visually striking powerhouse—an instrument that never quite broke into the mainstream during its original production. Yet over time, its radical design and massive tone have earned it cult status among players and collectors alike.
With the ETB500 we proved that classic design can be reborn for today's players. Now, we’re bringing that same philosophy to the ETB Wedge—a high-quality tribute that captures the look, feel, and attitude of the original, while adding a few smart, modern refinements where they matter most.
Every detail has been considered: from the carved body lines to the dual humbuckers and classic control layout, this guitar honors the design that has inspired decades of boundary-pushing music.
But we’ve also reimagined it where it counts. Unlike the aluminum-neck construction of the 1970s original, the ETB Wedge features a carefully crafted set-maple neck design. Why? Because it delivers the warmth, resonance, and playability we all need, while avoiding the weight, cost, and maintenance challenges of metal-neck instruments. The result is a guitar that feels familiar in the hands, sings with sustain, and still carries the bold look of the wedge.
And most importantly: we’ve made it attainable. No need to chase rare collector’s pieces—this is a high-quality, stage-ready instrument built to inspire, priced so every player can experience the legend.
